About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and well-rounded OHS specialist, with strong subject matter expertise to join the organisation on a 12-month fixed term contract, with direct impact on the safety outcomes of the organisation and the communities they serve. The successful appointee will coordinate the day to day operations of the OHS Advisory team across all Western Health sites; identifying opportunities for improved process efficiencies by leveraging their knowledge of OHS best practice and developed leadership skills.
Reporting to the Director Safety, Risk and Emergency Management the Senior OHS Operations Coordinator will lead a team of four consultants delivering critical advice and support to the organisation. The Director will lead the design and establishment of OHS process, whilst playing a key role in ensuring the engagement of key stakeholders across the organisation.
An accomplished OHS professional, you will have comparable functional experience gained in a complex organisational environment. In addition to the essential criteria, you will also demonstrate:
- Deep subject matter expertise and understanding of OHS, legislation. and an up-to-date understanding of contemporary safety practices, principles, and theory;
- A strong people focus, with developed capability to engage key stakeholders within a complex operating environment; and
- An improvement mindset and ability to identify opportunities for improved process efficiencies, and to develop plans and processes to address this.
