About the company
Our client is one of Australia's largest aged care providers with extensive network of facilities across the nation. They now require a Facility Manager/Director of Nursing for one of their large facilities in Sydney.
About the role
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Facility Manager is responsible for the overall management of all aspects of this large home. This will include (but not be limited to) the following;
- Ensures the documentation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of a quality management system for efficient and effective management and ongoing accreditation. Coordinates continuous improvement activities relevant to resident care
- Human resource management including recruitment, selection, appointment, rostering, staff development and performance management
- Resident admissions including marketing and management of the waiting list
- Oversees the submission of accurate and timely ACFI documentation
- Ensures rights and responsibilities of residents are provided and follows up concerns raised by residents or their families
- Assumes the position of manual handling coordinator to coordinate manual handling activities including
- Participates in the strategic planning process
About you
The successful candidate will display the following;
- Minimum five (5) years Aged Care management experience
- Experience managing a large facility - 100+ beds
- Registered Nurse with current registration with AHPRA (desirable)
- Detailed knowledge of the requirements of the Aged Care Industry and the Aged Care Act
- Experience in developing and leading a high performing team and display strong leadership skills
- Experience driving a culture change within an aged care environment
