About the Opportunity

HammondCare is regarded nationally and internationally as one of Australia's leading health and aged care providers in the field of palliative and supportive care. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the General Manager Health and Palliative Care will lead HammondCare's health and palliative care portfolio across the organisation, overseeing the continued provision of world-leading end of life services to the Australian community. The successful appointee will oversee a national expansion of services, working with the executive to continue to increase the impact of the HammondCare health portfolio with a specific focus on growing HammondCare's palliative care footprint.

About You

The successful appointee will demonstrate strong alignment to the HammondCare mission and vision, as well as extensive executive leadership experience gained within the healthcare sector, either from a community or hospital setting.

In addition to the essential criteria, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Extensive operational/clinical leadership experience gained within a comparably complex, service driven organisation;
  • Knowledge of and experience navigating the machinations of government to improve organisational relations and further develop government funded service delivery;
  • In depth understanding of public health service delivery, ideally within an acute or sub-acute hospital setting; and
  • Leadership pedigree and track record of driving high team performance, and positive community health outcomes.
