The Opportunity
As an Occupational Therapist, you will support children and adults to participate fully in life and achieve their goals by enhancing independent living skills and the ability to participate in the community.
Navigating the NDIS system, the Occupational Therapist will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and conduct assessments to provide person-centred therapeutic services in a home, school, or respite setting. The types of conditions that you will work with include ADHD, Down Syndrome, Multiple Sclerosis, Autism, and Brain Traumas. A large number of clients are paediatric.
Key responsibilities include:
- Functionality assessments
- Sensory assessments
- Growth assessments
- Equipment prescriptions
- Motion Assessments
About You
As an Occupational Therapist you will have;
- Current AHPRA registration
- Minimum 1-year experience working within the NDIS or 5+ years' experience working within an adjacent sector
- A current driver's license and willingness to travel (occasionally long-distance) to clients (pool cars available)
- Experience supporting children and adults using an evidence-based approach
Prior experience working with paediatric clients will be highly regarded.
