Job Description

The Organisation

We are currently assisting a leading organisation within the Public Sector in the appointment of a new Property Team Leader. Located in Sydney's north, the organisation works across a vibrant community and assists in the delivery of a range of services for the benefit of the public.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Manager Property, Commercial and Assets, the Property Team Leader will have the opportunity to bring innovation and enhance the delivery standards of the council's property portfolio. The property division has over 50 staff members.

Leading a team of five, the Property Team Leader will be responsible for systems and process improvement following a recent restructure within the organisation. The Property Team Leader will be responsible for a portfolio of assets and engage directly with the broader community, residential and commercial tenants. Of importance will be overseeing the negotiations of new leases, lease renewals and rent reviews to maximise returns and minimise risk.

About You:

The successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record of leading and developing a high performing team. You will have strong stakeholder management skills, particularly when navigating sensitive and complex situations. A strong understanding of commercial land dealings, contract preparation, interpretation and exposure to managing a commercial leasing portfolio is essential.

Relevant tertiary qualifications in property, land economics, business, commerce or closely related disciplines are required. Prior experience working within the public sector will be highly regarded.

This is an exciting opportunity to step into an impact position and deliver tangible results for the benefit of the wider community.
