Job Description

  • Reporting to the Manager WHS, the WHS Coordinator will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:

    • Generation of compliance reports to monitor site execution of key performance indicators including hazard & incident management, inspection schedule attainment and permit to work completion
    • Overall responsibility for document control of the safety system and administration of safety training and education records and committee meetings
    • Supporting the day-to-day administration of Contractor Management System Rapid Global, Hazard & Incident Management Software-QERMS and Emergency Management Compliance
    • Work collaboratively and proactively as a team member as well as across all levels of the organisation with open, honest and non-critical communication to drive a performance-based culture
    • Operate in genuine alignment to RSL LifeCare's value's - Responsible, Collaborative, Passionate, Imaginative, Courageous & Respectful

    For this position, we are seeking candidates that meet the following criteria:

    • Tertiary Qualification in Safety Science, Health, or similar field
    • Lead Auditor and First Aid Certification
    • 3-5 years of experience in a similar or related role
    • Current valid driver's licence and own vehicle
    • Exceptional organisational and document control
    • Advanced written and verbal communication
    • WHS incident investigation, critical analysis, problem solving and audit skills
    • Willingness to travel if required in addition to the annual 70 site roadshow
    • Resilient and autonomous welcoming challenges and approaches adversity with a sense of humour
    • Friendly, outgoing personality able to converse with a wide range of stakeholders

    The position is to be based in RSL LifeCare's head office in St Leonards with a flexible work from home schedule. Initially commencing as a 12-month contract, the transition into permanency thereafter is ideal however not guaranteed and is pending approval.
