Mental Health

Our Practice

Almost $10 billion was spent on mental health across Australia in 2017-18 and over four million Australian’s receive mental health-related prescriptions each year. Greater awareness of the prevalence and scope of mental health issues in the community has led not only to significant growth in the sector, but a greater focus on the outcomes delivered by service providers.

The mental health sector is highly fragmented, with a myriad of not for profit organisations delivering services alongside publicly funded area health services, other government funded entities and privately run businesses.

The COVID-19 pandemic and the associated dramatic increase in unemployment will inevitably increase the demand for mental health services substantially. Crisis support services such as Lifeline are already experiencing a spike in the demand for their services.

At Orchard, we assist organisations navigate the complexities of the sector, meet the community’s increased expectations in terms of outcomes and position themselves to deal with changes in demand for their services, through the appointment of high-calibre corporate, clinical and operational talent.

We work within Public and Private Hospitals; Community mental health care; Residential mental health care; Outpatient service settings.
