The opportunity
We are seeking a highly experienced and capable Residential Manager to lead an extra-large aged care home for a three-month contract based in Central Queensland, commencing in January 2026. The opportunity emerges out of responsibility and care to the home’s residents and team, allowing for the clinical management team to continue with their own roles. Reporting to and with the support of the Group Operations Manager, with a dotted line to the Chief Operating Officer.
Key focuses for this contract will be:
- Supporting the home’s 6-person management team, as well as the home's holistic workforce through a time of transition
- Endorsing a positive team culture of stability, engagement, education, and accountability
- Proactivity in risk mitigation, addressing clinical gaps, and clinical governance
- Stakeholder management and collaboration to ensure continuous improvement and deliverance of positive outcomes
- Providing exemplary customer experience to residents and their families
- Promoting operational excellence and ensuring adherence to Quality and Safety Standards
This is an assignment requiring proactivity; our client requires an aged care leader who is actions and outcomes-driven, who is customer experience centric, and innately takes team on the journey. You will present with:
- Availability to commence in January 2026 and commitment to a fixed term contract, of up to 3 months
- Minimum 3 years in a senior role managing large to extra-large homes
- Proven ability to lead a large team, inclusive of managers, and foster engagement during change
- Sound understanding of Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards and a relationship with the Aged Care Commission
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A degree in health or business; RN registration and accreditation experience highly regarded
