The opportunity
RSL LifeCare is seeking a dynamic and energised Facility Manager to lead their 82-bed Thomas Eccles residential aged care home in Yass, NSW. As the senior leader onsite, you will ensure residents receive safe, high-quality, person-centred care while guiding and supporting your team. Reporting into a highly experienced Regional Manager, your key focuses are:
- Purpose-led and people-focused leadership: Building an engaged, inclusive and high-performing team who role model organisational values, cultural safety and respect for veterans, residents and colleagues.
- Operational and commercial acumen: Managing complex residential operations with sound financial discipline, data-informed decision making and alignment of workforce management, care delivery and income streams.
- Quality, safety and risk leadership: Embedding clinical governance, accreditation standards and continuous improvement, creating a culture where risks are identified early and addressed decisively.
- A positive change and outcomes focus: Leading transformation initiatives with consistency and clarity, translating strategy into practical action and measurable outcomes.
- Stakeholder and community engagement: Building strong relationships with residents, families, staff, veteran networks, regulators and community partners to enhance reputation, trust and occupancy outcomes.
We are seeking a confident and strategic leader who presents with:
- An active AHPRA registration, with extensive management experience in aged care, health or other customer-focused environments.
- A proven ability to lead change, build and sustain high-performing teams, manage performance, wellbeing and complex workplace relationships.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, workforce costs and operational performance within a regulated environment.
- Demonstrated capability in managing compliance with complex aged care regulations and balancing risk, quality and customer experience.
- High levels of compassion, empathy and professionalism, with excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to make balanced, sound decisions.
You will be entrusted to take accountability of the Yass home, cultivating enduring team engagement and morale, guiding and educating on best practices and continuous improvement. As part of the RSL LifeCare team, you will enjoy:
