The opportunity
Reporting to a senior operations leader and joining a supportive peer network, the Area Manager will lead a portfolio of early childhood centres across the greater Melbourne region.
The Area Manager will;
- Lead centre teams through cycles of performance improvement and workforce stabilisation
- Triage quality issues and implement practical, impactful strategies to ensure high standards
- Champion a culture of accountability and high expectations, while mentoring leaders within the services.
- Inspire creativity, innovation and engagement
- Drive a consistent, values led approach, centred on excellence in education, safety, compliance and wellbeing.
About you
Key skills, essential criteria and desirables.
- Deep understanding of the EYLF, NQS and early education regulatory frameworks.
- Ability to remain focussed on clear, strategic priorities
- Build team culture, trust and high-performance environment
- Data and outcome-driven, with a track record of raising quality and compliance standards
- Strong in people leadership, mentoring and providing clear expectations and support to your team to achieve success
- Hands on leadership style with great attention to detail and ability to connect with people, inspiring positive action and driving performance, consistency and operational excellence.
- Early Childhood Education Diploma or Bachelor qualification.
- Driver’s license and willingness to travel within your region.
- Highly collaborative, working effectively within the state and national leadership teams.
