The Opportunity
As Campus Principal, you will lead the educational, cultural, and operational life of Carinity Education Shalom. Reporting to the Carinity Education’s Manager Education Services, you will be supported by a network of Principal’s and your team which includes a Head of Primary, Head of Secondary and Campus Pastor.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing strategic leadership across both primary and secondary sub-schools
- Developing and coordinating programs that support teaching and learning for First Nations students
- Fostering a safe, inclusive, and empowering school culture aligned with Christian values
- Ensuring compliance with NSSAB and broader educational standards
- Building strong relationships with students, staff, families, and community stakeholders
- Collaborating as a member of the Carinity Education Advisory Group with other Carinity school Principals
- Supporting the continuous improvement of curriculum and pedagogy across the school
About You
You're a relational and inclusive educational leader who values collaboration and is committed to improving outcomes for young people, particularly those from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds.
You bring:
- Current or eligible Queensland teacher registration
- Proven leadership experience in a school setting, ideally across both primary and secondary levels
- A deep understanding of and passion for working with First Nations and/or marginalised youth
- Strong capability in curriculum development aligned with QCAA and ACARA standards
- A deep understanding of trauma-informed educational practice and the ability to lead with empathy, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment for all students
- A commitment to Christian values and the transformative power of education
