Women’s Health and Equality Queensland are leaders in women’s health, gender equity and the primary prevention of violence in Queensland. They provide counselling, therapeutic groups and health services for women and gender-diverse people, as well as health promotion, community programs, professional education and systems change.

The opportunity
Reporting to the Chair and Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) leads WHEQ with strategic vision, values-based leadership and a commitment to system change and equity.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and deliver the WHEQ strategic plan;
- Provide leadership to effect system change and reform in women’s health
- Effect strong governance structures;
- Drive revenue diversification; and
- Be the face of the organisation.
About you
You will be a seasoned CEO with experience leading a highly mission and values-driven NFP organisation.
You will bring:
- Demonstrable leadership expertise in a NFP operating environment;
- Superior vision and strategic capability as evidenced by your track record of innovation and success;
- Proven ability to build mission awareness through external advocacy across community, federal and state agencies;
- Strong financial acumen with experience identifying and driving revenue diversification including through philanthropy and corporate sponsorship;
- Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills to influence and ‘open doors’;
- Executive gravitas and presence;
- Collaborative, positive and values-based leadership to champion the strong workplace culture across WHEQ; and
- Alignment with, or strong interest in, women’s health, gender equity and social justice.
