The Organisation
Kinyara Health is a rapidly expanding Australian home care provider, established in 2020. Kinyara was founded on a simple but powerful idea: that the deep, personal care legacies built by local care leaders deserve to be preserved, empowered, and scaled—not replaced.  The company operates a growing portfolio of community-based home support businesses across Victoria, New South Wales, and South Australia. Each business is founded on personal stories and a commitment to compassionate, client-centered care. Kinyara is supported by Genesis Capital, an Australian private equity firm specialising in healthcare investments.

The Opportunity
Kinyara is seeking a strategic, values-based and purpose-driven Chief Operating Officer (COO) to play a pivotal role in shaping the next chapter of its growth journey. With a strong foundation as one of Australia’s most progressive home and community care providers, Kinyara is scaling rapidly across Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia.

Reporting directly to the Group CEO, this is a strategic leadership role that goes beyond operational excellence. The COO will bring experience from a customer-centric service environment, having led a dispersed portfolio of similar scale and geography. In addition, the COO will;

  • Partner on key business decisions, driving innovation, growth initiatives, and integration of new acquisitions, while maintaining a relentless focus on client experience and outcomes.
  • Drive sustainable and profitable growth as a reflection of the relevance, client experience and service quality of the respective teams
  • Embed systems-based leadership that enables sustainable scalability without compromising the organisation’s care-first culture.
  • Achieving exceptional impact through a highly committed, purpose driven and high performing team whole love what they do and the impact they have
About You
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be a purpose-driven leader who balances astute systems thinking and sharp performance focus  with a commitment to serve the team with humility to achieve the maximum impact for clients & community. They will have a background in a customer-centric service environment, ideally leading a dispersed portfolio of operations of comparable scale and geography. With proven operational expertise, they can transition teams from relationship-based leadership to scalable, technology-enabled systems without losing the warmth and care at the heart of the organisation. With strong self-awareness, resilience, and the ability to inspire trust, they foster highly engaged, purpose-driven teams that deliver consistently excellent client outcomes.

Key skills, essential criteria and desirables.
  • Operational Mastery: A track record of managing complex service delivery organisations, ideally in health, aged care, disability, or other regulated, customer centric sectors with a high degree of human impact and performance excellence..
  • Growth with Care Mindset: Demonstrated ability to scale and grow the organisation while never losing sight of the human implications and consistently serving the team to be the best version of themselves.
  • Systems-Oriented Leader: Experience shifting teams from reliance on individual, relationship-based leadership to robust systems-based leadership in support of unlimited scalability to meet the needs of the community.
  • People & Systems Integration: Experience building engaged, values-based and purpose-driven high performance teams while embedding scalable systems that reduce dependence on individuals and increase consistency and resilience.
What’s on Offer

Kinyara’s cultural paradigm is built on being one team —collaborating with joy to create meaningful impact for others. They empower their people to commit fully, take accountability, and maintain a sharp focus on performance and outcomes. As COO, you’ll have the opportunity to shape a dispersed, multi-brand portfolio across multiple states, guiding the business through continued growth and sector reform while embedding scalable systems for sustainable expansion. Partnering closely with the CEO and Board, you’ll influence strategic decisions, acquisitions and integration, while leading innovation initiatives such as AI-enabled care planning to enhance quality and efficiency without losing the human touch.

This role offers the chance to build a values-based, purpose-driven and outcome focussed culture where engaged teams deliver consistently excellent impact — a unique opportunity to combine strategic influence, operational leadership and human impact in one of Australia’s fastest-growing health sectors. This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious, confident and humble leader to help take a values-based organisation through continued growth while leaving a lasting impact on the lives of the people and communities it serves.
