Overview:
Help build a strong, trusted and modern compliance function at New Horizons. In this role, you will lead the development and delivery of compliance, internal control and assurance frameworks across a major social purpose provider. You will influence how risk, regulation and governance are managed and help the wider business operate confidently in a demanding, highly regulated setting.

The opportunity
Reporting to the General Manager Enterprise Risk and Business Assurance, the Compliance Manager will:
- Establish, manage and continuously evolve a Compliance Management Framework
- Build internal controls and oversee compliance reviews across the organisation
- Monitor regulatory change, interpret impacts and advise on required action
- Lead external audit planning, delivery and external auditor engagement
- Oversee breach registers
- Drive policy governance, document control and accreditation standards uplift
- Provide advice to senior leaders and support Executive and Committee reporting
This is a hands-on leadership role with influence across business operations, assurance, regulation, quality, NDIS and aged care standards, and organisational improvement.
About you:
You bring credibility, judgement and practical experience across compliance, governance or audit. You know how to translate regulation into workable, human-centred processes and build engagement across varied stakeholder groups.
You will bring:
- Experience designing and implementing compliance frameworks
- Ability to analyse regulatory change and guide business response
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Project management capability and comfort working with complexity
- Experience leading teams or specialist resources
- Skill in problem solving, structured thinking and evidence-based advice
- Sound understanding of audit programs and internal control design
