The opportunity
Reporting to the Executive Director of Pedagogy, the General Manager will:
- Lead and coach Centre Directors across a portfolio of 5 to 6 services in regional and metro Sydney
- Build leadership capability, empowering people and uplifting practice across pedagogy, quality and operations
- Ensure strong stakeholder engagement and advocacy, supporting children, families and communities
- Oversee compliance and operational requirements, including budgets, while ensuring pedagogy remains central
- Contribute to research and organisation wide projects in pedagogy and practice
- Play an active role in the broader Gowrie community and contribute to unique strategic projects across the organisation
- Collaborate with a team of General Managers, sharing insights and shaping ambitious quality outcomes across Gowrie NSW
About you
You are a trusted and adaptable leader who brings:
- Multi-site management experience in early education
- A strong operational background with understanding of pedagogy and the National Quality Framework
- The ability to coach, mentor and uplift leaders with an empowering and supportive style
- Commercial acumen and experience managing budgets
- Strength in managing complex issues including family complaints, crisis situations and community engagement
- A collaborative approach, thriving in a values driven culture focused on children and families
