The Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Child Protection Peak (QATSICPP) is the peak body for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander child protection and the Queensland Youth Justice Peak. QATSICPP represents Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community-controlled organisations delivering child protection and family wellbeing services, as well as youth justice funded organisations working across the youth justice system in Queensland.
QATSICPP works alongside its member organisations, government and sector partners to strengthen community-led systems that support the safety, wellbeing and self-determination of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people and families across the state.
The opportunity
Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, the General Manager, Statewide Operations & Workforce Development is a newly created executive leadership role responsible for overseeing statewide operational delivery and workforce strategy.
The role will ensure programs, contracts and workforce initiatives achieve meaningful impact for member organisations, youth justice organisations and the broader sector.
The General Manager will:
- Provide executive oversight across operational programs spanning child protection, youth justice and early years initiatives
- Lead statewide workforce development strategies to strengthen sector capability and sustainability
- Drive operational performance, program delivery and reporting across funded initiatives
- Lead and support a high-performing team delivering statewide sector development initiatives
About you
You are an experienced executive leader with strong operational leadership capability and a commitment to strengthening community-controlled sectors.
- Senior leadership experience managing complex programs or statewide operations
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community-controlled organisations or sectors
- Strong operational, financial and performance management capability
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver strategic initiatives
- Tertiary qualification in management, human services, public administration or related discipline, or equivalent senior leadership experience
