The Organisation
Calvary Health Care is a not-for-profit, Catholic health care organisation dedicated to providing compassionate care to the most vulnerable in our communities. Established in 1885 by the Sisters of the Little Company of Mary, Calvary has since grown into a national network of 14 hospitals, 72 residential care and retirement communities, and 19 community care service centres across Australia.

Guided by its mission of “being for others,” Calvary embodies the values of hospitality, healing, stewardship, and respect, inspired by the example of Venerable Mary Potter. With a rich history of service, Calvary continues to focus on providing high-quality health care and supporting individuals and families through their health journeys.

As a trusted national provider, Calvary is dedicated to advancing its legacy through innovation and a steadfast commitment to providing care that is both compassionate and inclusive, ensuring the dignity and well-being of every person it serves.

The Opportunity
Reporting to a supportive and tenured General Manager, the Lakes Entrance Home Manager is responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team made up of clinical, and support roles ensuring a holistic approach to care within the home. The Home Manager ensures that the team responds to the whole person by partnering with Calvary’s residents, families and carers on a daily basis to meet the individual needs and goals of our residents. With an innate passion for creating a welcoming community within a clinical setting, the Home Manager is motivated by cultivating enduring relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, inclusive of team, residents and their family members, and external parties that support care provision such as GP’s, Allied Health, contractors and the local community.

The key areas of responsibility for the role include:

  • Leading and retaining a high-performing home team, fostering a positive culture aligned with Calvary’s mission and values, and supporting career development, recruitment, and employee wellbeing across the portfolio.
  • Ensuring delivery of exceptional care and service, promoting a resident-focused approach, driving quality improvements, and maintaining a "Zero Harm" philosophy for residents, staff, and the environment.
  • Identifying and managing business risks and growth opportunities, overseeing clinical, operational, and commercial impacts of capital works, and implementing innovative strategies to enhance service delivery and stakeholder engagement.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to drive continuous improvement for resident experience and their physical, emotional, and social needs, team education and collaboration, mitigating risk and driving positive quality outcomes
