Women’s Health and Equality Queensland are leaders in women’s health, gender equity and the primary prevention of violence in Queensland. We provide counselling, therapeutic groups and health services for women and gender-diverse people, as well as health promotion, community programs, professional education, and systems change.

The opportunity
Reporting to the COO and operating as a key member of the senior leadership team, the HR Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping organisational capability, culture and compliance.
In this hands-on role, you will:
• Own the full employee lifecycle, providing pragmatic HR advice and support to leaders and staff
• Lead organisational development, learning, engagement and culture initiatives
• Provide WHS leadership and ensure compliance with employment and safety legislation
• Develop, review and embed people policies, systems and reporting that support growth and sustainability
About you
You are a confident, trusted HR professional who enjoys operating autonomously in a purpose-driven environment.
You will bring:
• Proven experience across generalist HR, including ER, compliance, recruitment and WHS
• Working knowledge of Fair Work, NES and the SCHADS Award
• Strong relationship-building skills and the confidence to advise at senior levels and on the front line
• Alignment with, or strong interest in, women’s health, gender equity and social justice
