The opportunity
We are seeking a senior operational leader to join us as Operations Director, Individual and Community Supports. In this pivotal role, you will lead large-scale delivery of customer-directed services including in-home support, allied health integration, and complex community programs.
Reporting to the Executive General Manager – Services, you will:
- Oversee the operational performance of community-based disability services
- Lead service delivery in line with NDIS and regulatory requirements
- Drive financial performance, workforce development, and customer outcomes
- Champion service quality, compliance, and innovation
- Lead people managers across geographically dispersed teams
- Embed technology solutions that enable efficient and high-quality services
- Represent Independence Australia with government, funding bodies and stakeholders
- Support strategic plan execution through divisional business planning and reporting
About you
You are a results-focused, people-first leader with extensive experience in community-based disability or health services.
You bring:
- A minimum of 7 years in operational leadership of disability or community support services
- Deep understanding of the NDIS, funding mechanisms and compliance standards
- Proven ability to lead and develop large teams and manage organisational change
- High-level financial, commercial and contract management skills
- Strong analytical, project management and decision-making capability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A collaborative leadership style that fosters culture, safety and accountability
