The opportunity
The Residential Manager will lead all operational, governance and compliance functions within a 180-bed residential aged care home, ensuring high-quality care and service delivery. The Maryborough site is one of QLD’s largest aged care landscapes which presents a robust team of leaders inclusive of a Deputy Residential Manager, 3 Clinical Managers, 2 Clinical Care Coordinators, and a Quality Coordinator. You will also be supported by QLD’s own Clinical Nurse Educator and Quality Manager. Reporting to the regional General Manager Operations, the Residential Manager will:
- Drive a high-performing team culture focused on safety, respect, and continuous improvement
- Oversee financial performance, workforce planning, and accreditation readiness
- Provide exemplary customer experience to residents, families, and community engagement
- Promote service and operational excellence and ensure adherence to Quality and Safety Standards
You are an experienced leader in aged care or a comparable complex service environment, with:
- Minimum 2 years in a senior role managing medium to large homes
- Strong business acumen and experience with budgets, KPIs, and reporting
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams and foster a culture of excellence
- Sound understanding of Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Degree in health or business; RN registration and commissioning experience highly regarded
