The opportunity
The organisation is within the top 10 largest national Home Care portfolios. This is a pivotal leadership role in Uniting AgeWell’s fastest-growing program, which supports around 800 clients and a team of 67 staff across Bendigo, Maryborough, and Castlemaine. The purpose of the role is to provide leadership and effectively manage Home Care and Respite staff to ensure provision of high quality, compliant and consumer directed services. Reporting to the Regional Director, you will:
- Lead the development and delivery of Home Care and Respite Services
- Manage and support a multidisciplinary team, including Care Advisors, Nurses, Allied Health and Activity Workers
- Ensure programs operate within agreed resource frameworks and financial targets
- Drive compliance with aged care standards and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop fee-for-service approaches and foster strong client and community engagement to broaden the landscape
About you
You are an experienced leader in health or aged care with:
- Tertiary qualifications in management, business or related discipline
- Capacity and willingness to work within the ethos of the Uniting Church in Australia
- Expertise in assessment, care planning and service delivery for older persons
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets
- Proven ability to lead and develop cohesive teams
- Understanding of risk management and program standards in community aged care
- A current National Police Check, Working with Children Check (VIC), and driver’s license
