The Opportunity
Claro is seeking an experienced State Manager – Supported Independent Living to lead a significant SIL portfolio across Victoria. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role with accountability for operational performance, quality, safeguarding and workforce outcomes across a large, complex, multi-site portfolio operating in 24/7 environments. The role requires strong leadership presence, sound judgement and the ability to bring consistency and confidence to services.
The portfolio includes both metropolitan and regional services, with significant time spent in services supporting leaders and teams. Alongside day-to-day operational accountability, the role carries a clear mandate to shape portfolio direction, lift standards and support sustainable growth, including the integration of new SIL services as opportunities arise.
You will:
- Lead end-to-end operational delivery across a large, complex SIL portfolio
- Provide visible, credible leadership across 24/7 supported living environments
- Develop, coach and performance-manage Area Managers and senior leaders
- Embed quality, safeguarding and practice expectations into daily operations
- Apply a strategic lens to portfolio performance, risk and growth
- Balance service outcomes, workforce sustainability and financial performance
You are a senior operational leader with direct experience in Supported Independent Living and a proven ability to lead complex, regulated service environments at scale.
