The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the COO, the focus of the Systems and Quality Manager (SQM) is to ensure that the NDC Way is reflected in everything they do and that compliance with government regulations is achieved through and in harmony with the NDC Way. The role ensures NDC’s customers (residents, participants and other service users) are supported to live as normal a life as possible® in a community where the freedom of home follows® through compliance with the NDC Way, while also clearly demonstrating compliance with regulatory obligations .
 
The SQM role includes management of a small team of passionate individuals. With continuous quality improvement as the key objective, the SQM will take ownership of both the aged care and NDIS communities at NDC, with their primary responsibility being the protection of the NDC Way Model while also ensuring compliance with our regulatory obligations, through monitoring systems, analysing data, facilitating audits, and promoting a culture of excellence in care delivery and service provision. The SQM will be responsible for:

  • Developing, implementing, and managing the organisation’s Quality Management System in line with the NDC Way and the relevant legislated requirements in operation including the Aged Care Quality Standards (ACQS) and NDIS Practice Standards, Support at Home and other related health programs.
  • Coordinating and conducting internal audits, compliance reviews, risk assessments to identify gaps and areas for improvement /continuous improvement activities, ensuring NDC is always ‘accreditation ready’.
  • Collaborating and training with clinical and operational teams to monitor and improve care and support services delivery outcomes.
  • Keeping up to date with changes in aged care legislation, NDIS legislation, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Liaising with external agencies, regulators, and accrediting bodies as required.
About You
 
NewDirection Care is seeking a hands-on leader, well-versed in quality and continuous improvement within residential aged care and NDIS settings. The successful Systems & Quality Manager will work collaboratively, committing to upholding and demonstrating model behaviours in alignment with NewDirection Care’s Values & Foundations. The ideal candidate will have:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Health, Allied Health, Quality or a related discipline
  • Experience in systems and quality within aged care or health care settings
  • Knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards, NDIS Practice Standards, Support at Home, compliance frameworks and accreditation processes
  • Experience with data analysis, auditing and report writing.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong understanding of confidentiality and ethical responsibilities
