While Its origins trace back to 1962 improving conditions for war widows and their families, today Vasey Communities looks to the future to promote an independent and dignified lifestyle for residents over 55 from all backgrounds. With a current portfolio comprising five different communities supporting over 370 residents.
Epping Manor is a welcoming village community in Epping, featuring 58 contemporary units and a diverse resident community. The village has recently undergone major renovations, with nine units being fully refurbished to enhance comfort and modern living standards. It’s a connected neighbourhood where neighbours know one another, celebrate diversity, and enjoy the warmth of village-style living.
 
The Opportunity
This is a newly created role, established during an exciting period of modernisation across the business.
The Village Manager at Epping Manor will lead all day‑to‑day operations across the village, delivering exceptional resident experience, ensuring compliance and safety, maintaining facilities to premium standards, and driving occupancy through strong engagement and sales capability.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this position requires a confident, resident‑focused leader who can build trusted relationships, engage with local communities, uphold regulatory standards, and contribute to strategic operational improvements.
Key areas of responsibility include:
  • Championing community engagement, wellbeing programs, and resident satisfaction
  • Representing Vasey within the local community, veteran networks, and partner organisations
  • Ensuring compliance with the NSW Retirement Villages Act 1999
  • Overseeing facilities, contractors, asset maintenance and lifecycle planning
  • Managing village finances, budgeting, forecasting and CAPEX planning
  • Leading sales enquiries, tours, negotiations, contract execution, and occupancy outcomes 
About You
You are an energetic, organised and community‑minded leader with a passion for improving the lives of ageing Australians and supporting those who have served.
You will bring:
  • Significant experience in retirement living, property, community services or aged care
  • Strong skills in resident engagement, communication and stakeholder management
  • Knowledge of the NSW Retirement Villages Act and compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in frontline sales and occupancy management
  • Sound business acumen with experience in budgets, planning and financial oversight
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, empathy, professionalism, and a resident‑first mindset
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with the executive team
Qualifications and certifications include
  • Diploma or higher in Business, Property/Facilities Management, Community Services or similar
  • National Police Check, Working With Vulnerable People Check
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Current driver’s licence
