Over 1,550 organisations employing 29,000 staff make up Australia’s $6.5 billion Housing sector, covering social and affordable housing, homelessness services, and development projects.

At June 2024, there were approximately 452,000 social housing dwellings, with the community housing sector reporting revenues of approximately $2.49 billion.

The sector is navigating substantial growth and transformation, driven by increasing housing demand, affordability pressures, homelessness risk, evolving government commitments and investment surety. Providers are adopting mixed-use, social-inclusion, and partnership approaches to deliver housing and support services to low-income and vulnerable populations – one of Australia’s fastest growing demographics.

Over the last decade, the sector has faced workforce capacity challenges across tenancy, property, and support services, funding constraints, increasing expectations for integrated service delivery and community outcomes. Ensuring capability across property management, development, project management, tenancy, and community services remains a priority.

Our offering

We support housing providers and community organisations working across social housing, affordable housing and homelessness services. The sector continues to face increasing demand, funding constraints and rising expectations around service quality and tenant outcomes.

We partner on Board, Chief Executive, executive, leadership and specialist appointments across corporate, property management and support services functions. Our work supports organisations to align talent strategy with operational delivery and long term housing outcomes.

Our focus is on strengthening leadership, capability and culture to enable safe, sustainable and high quality housing solutions for communities.
