The opportunity
International Grammar School is seeking to appoint three Board Members over the next 12 months as part of a planned Board renewal program.
These appointments come at an important time for the School. With a new strategic plan in development and a range of significant decisions ahead relating to financial sustainability, campus planning, property strategy, technology and organisational growth, the Board is seeking individuals who can contribute contemporary expertise, sound judgement and a collaborative governance style.

These are non-remunerated positions, however reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.

- Finance, audit, investment oversight or commercial governance.
- Property, infrastructure, construction, development or capital projects.
- Technology, cyber security, digital transformation or information governance.
As a Board Member, you will:
- Contribute to the strategic oversight and governance of the School.
- Support the implementation of the School's long-term vision and strategic priorities.
- Participate actively in Board and Committee discussions and decision-making.
- Provide constructive challenge, guidance and specialist expertise where appropriate.
- Help ensure the School remains financially sustainable, innovative and responsive to future opportunities and challenges.
About you
You are an accomplished executive, business leader or experienced Non-Executive Director who is motivated by the opportunity to contribute to a purpose-led organisation and the education sector.
You will bring:
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a complex commercial, professional, public or not-for-profit environment.
- Expertise in one or more of the capability areas sought by the Board.
- Strong strategic thinking, commercial acumen and governance judgement.
- The ability to contribute positively within a collegiate, high-performing Board environment.
- A commitment to diversity, inclusion and collaborative decision-making.
- Alignment with the values and educational philosophy of International Grammar School.
The Board is committed to maintaining a diverse range of perspectives, backgrounds and lived experiences and encourages applications from candidates who will contribute to the continued diversity of the Board.
Mandatory requirements include:
- Over 18 years of age and not disqualified from acting as a company director.
- Valid Working With Children Check for Volunteers and national criminal history check.
- Completion of 12 hours of NESA approved governance learning modules within three years of joining the board.
