Delivering Safer Communities for Queensland

Queensland is one of the fastest-growing states in Australia. Queensland Government is taking strong action on crime, support for victims, safer roads and building a police service Queenslanders can trust.

As Commissioner of Police, you will lead the Queensland Police Service in delivering the Queensland Government's priorities of community safety, frontline service delivery, integrity, accountability and better outcomes for Queenslanders.
This is an opportunity to lead one of Australia's largest and most respected public institutions, shaping the future of policing while building safer, stronger and more connected communities.

We are seeking a leader who will:
  • Put community safety at the centre of every decision
  • Lead a high-performing frontline workforce to deliver results for Queenslanders
  • Drive crime prevention, disruption and enforcement efforts across the state
  • Support victim-survivors through compassionate, trauma-informed responses
  • Strengthen public trust through integrity, transparency and accountability
  • Foster partnerships that address complex social challenges and improve community outcomes
  • Deliver innovation and organisational excellence in a rapidly changing environment
Why this role matters
The Commissioner plays a critical role in protecting Queenslanders, supporting victims, responding to disasters and emergencies, reducing road trauma and ensuring communities feel safe where they live, work and raise their families.

This is a unique opportunity to lead with purpose, deliver on the Government's commitment to safer communities, and make a lasting difference for Queensland.

Lead with integrity. Deliver safer communities. Build Queensland's future.
