The organisation
Twilight Aged Care is a respected not-for-profit provider with a proud history of supporting older Australians to live with dignity, independence and connection. Guided by a clear purpose and strong values, Twilight is entering an exciting new phase of growth focused on strengthening organisational capability, building contemporary leadership practices and delivering exceptional experiences for residents, families and employees alike.
Recognised as an Xref Best Workplace 2026 for the second consecutive year, Twilight has built a culture where people feel valued, supported and connected. This recognition reflects the organisation's genuine investment in its people and its commitment to fostering an engaged, collaborative workplace where employees are empowered to make a meaningful difference every day.
Led by a new CEO with a clear strategic vision, Twilight is investing in its people, systems and leadership to ensure it is well positioned for future growth while remaining true to its long history of relationship based care and person-centred values.

The opportunity
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Residential Operations is a newly created executive role that will lead the operational performance of Twilight's five residential aged care homes located in metro Sydney.
This is a highly visible leadership opportunity to partner with experienced Facility Managers, strengthen commercial capability, embed consistent ways of working and deliver exceptional outcomes for residents, families and employees. Working closely with the Clinical Governance and Quality team, you will ensure every home delivers safe, high-quality, rights-based care while driving financial sustainability and continuous improvement, whilst embodying Twilight’s known and loved relational model of care and empathy.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading operational performance across Twilight's residential Homes, driving consistency, accountability and exceptional resident outcomes.
  • Building the capability of Facility Managers through coaching, leadership development and stronger commercial and operational disciplines.
  • Driving financial sustainability through occupancy growth, AN-ACC optimisation, workforce planning and operational efficiency.
  • Leading strategic improvement initiatives across hotel services, systems, processes and organisational change to support Twilight's future direction.
About you
You are an accomplished operational leader with experience leading complex, multi-site service environments. While residential aged care experience will be highly regarded it is not essential; a strong people and customer focus with proven operational leadership and a genuine commitment to improving lives remains essential.
You will bring:
  • Proven experience leading multi-site operations and developing high-performing leaders.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, operational performance and service improvement.
  • A collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence, build relationships and lead through change.
  • A passion for person-centred services and creating cultures where people feel valued, supported and empowered.
What’s on Offer
  • Executive leadership role reporting directly to the CEO.
  • Opportunity to shape a significant organisational transformation and influence future strategy.
  • Join a purpose-driven organisation with an outstanding reputation for compassionate care.
  • Work alongside an experienced Executive and committed Board investing in long-term sustainability.
  • Make a genuine difference to the lives of residents, families and employees every day.
