The organisation
Mid North Coast LHD delivers hospital, community and preventive health services across a diverse region from Port Macquarie to Coffs Harbour. With a $1.03 billion budget, a growing population of over 230,000 and significant Aboriginal and culturally diverse communities, Mid North Coast LHD plays a central role in improving health outcomes for rural and regional communities.

Mid North Coast LHD has redesigned its Executive Leadership Team to be contemporary, collaborative and fit for the future. Guided by the NSW Health values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment, MNCLHD is working towards its vision of a healthy, well and thriving Mid North Coast.

The opportunity
Reporting to the Chief Executive and leading a team of approximately 55, the District Director Infrastructure will:
  • Lead capital works, asset management, maintenance and facilities, biomedical engineering, and environmental sustainability across all sites
  • Be the District's key link with Health Infrastructure on major projects, including the $265 million Port Macquarie Base Hospital redevelopment

  • Give strategic advice to the Chief Executive and Board as a member of a collaborative Executive Leadership Team

About you

  • Experience in asset management, business cases and capital investment decisions
  • A record of leading diverse technical and professional teams through change
  • Strong judgement and the ability to influence executive, clinical, government and industry partners

What's on offer
  • Report directly to the Chief Executive as a member of the Executive Leadership Team
  • Build and shape a brand new directorate
  • Play a key role in the $265 million Port Macquarie Base Hospital redevelopment
  • Lead the District's sustainability and net zero agenda
  • Choose your base within the region, for example Port Macquarie or Coffs Harbour
