CELA is the peak body for Australia’s early childhood education sector, supporting more than 1,800 member organisations employing over 27,000 educators nationally. As a member-based not-for-profit, CELA provides advocacy, expert advice, resources, consultancy, training and events to strengthen community-based and small providers delivering early and middle childhood education and care.

The opportunity
Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the broader team, the Membership Relationships Manager will be the key point of contact for members and a trusted source of practical, sector-informed advice.
In this role you will:
- Build strong, trusted relationships with members and respond to enquiries with practical, solutions-focused guidance
- Provide credible advice on governance, compliance and day-to-day service operations
- Oversee membership onboarding, engagement and retention processes
- Strengthen systems, reporting, resources and identify opportunities to enhance member value
About you
- Tertiary qualified in Early Childhood / Education
- Director-level experience within early childhood education
- Strong understanding of governance, compliance and service operations
- Confident communicator with the credibility to advise sector leaders
- Organised, pragmatic and solutions-oriented
- Comfortable working across systems, reporting and digital platforms
