Overview
Partner with operational leaders across residential and community aged care to build capability, resolve complex HR matters, and shape a compliant, engaged workforce.

The organisation
Lutheran Homes Group (LHG) is a trusted not-for-profit provider of residential care, home and community support, and retirement living for older Australians. With more than 1,300 employees and volunteers across South Australia and regional Victoria, LHG is committed to delivering personalised services that enable older people to live with dignity, independence and connection.

The opportunity
Reporting to the Lead People & Culture Business Partner, this is a hands-on role sitting within LHG's clinical P&C portfolio. You'll be the first point of contact for people matters across your client group, triaging, advising, coaching, and resolving, while contributing to broader HR initiatives that lift organisational capability.
  • A true business partner: a broad HR scope, partnering with leaders on ER/IR matters, performance management, workforce planning, workforce insights and wellbeing / return to work support
  • Build leader capability: Coach operational leaders to manage performance, navigate difficult conversations, and handle workplace matters with confidence and consistency
  • Shape workforce practice: Contribute to HR policy reviews, workforce planning conversations, and P&C initiatives that improve the employee experience and keep LHG ahead of its regulatory obligations
This role requires a visible on-site presence, including travel once a month to regional Victoria sites at Horsham and Hamilton.
Successful candidates can be based in Adelaide or Horsham / Hamilton regions

About you
  • Demonstrated experience managing ER/IR matters end-to-end, performance management, misconduct, grievances, investigations, and PIPs
  • Solid working knowledge of the Fair Work Act 2009, Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements
  • Able to triage complex situations quickly and communicate clearly with leaders at all levels
  • Curious, solutions-focused, and genuinely energised by the complexity of a care environment
  • Experience in a clinical background, e.g aged care, health, or community services is desirable but not necessary, a focus on willingness to learn and adapt
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, Industrial Relations, or a related field is desirable
  • Current driver's license and willingness to travel regionally is essential
  • Current NDIS Worker Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
