The organisation
The Legal Practitioners’ Liability Committee (LPLC) is an independent statutory entity providing professional indemnity insurance to Victorian barristers, solicitors and many of Australia’s national law firms.

LPLC’s purpose is to give peace of mind to the legal profession and the community. Its values of excellence, courage, collaboration, integrity and accountability underpin a strong commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in service delivery.

Under the leadership of a new CEO and with a refreshed strategy, LPLC is strengthening its prevention and education capability to better respond to emerging risks across the profession.

The opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Prevention & Risk, the Prevention Education Specialist plays a pivotal role in strengthening LPLC’s risk prevention impact through the design and delivery of high-quality learning solutions.

This is a hands-on role focused on instructional design and the development of contemporary, scalable learning experiences. You will design and produce education across multiple formats, including workshops, webinars, eLearning modules, and digital resources, applying adult learning principles to ensure content is practical, engaging and accessible.

Working closely with subject matter experts, you will translate complex legal and risk concepts into clear, user-centred learning experiences. You will also manage the learning content lifecycle, leveraging LMS platforms to deploy SCORM-compliant modules, track participation and evaluate effectiveness.

A key focus of the role is using data and feedback to continuously improve learning outcomes—analysing participation, completion rates and learner insights to refine content and strengthen impact across the profession.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a more proactive, evidence-informed approach to risk management within the legal sector.

About you
You are an experienced learning or instructional design professional, ideally with exposure to professional services, legal, insurance or other regulated environments.

You bring:

  • Demonstrated expertise in instructional design and adult learning methodologies
  • Hands-on experience developing digital learning using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise or similar
  • Experience building and deploying SCORM-compliant content via LMS platforms
  • Strong ability to translate complex subject matter into engaging, practical learning experiences
  • Experience evaluating program effectiveness using data, insights and feedback to drive continuous improvement

You are collaborative, adaptable and outcomes-focused, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence diverse stakeholders.

A tertiary qualification in education, instructional design or a related discipline (or equivalent experience) is required.
