The Organisation
Upwards Living is an NDIS and aged care provider delivering personalised, culturally aware support that helps people live with greater independence, dignity and connection.

The organisation supports people living with disability, early onset dementia, psychosocial challenges and others who need support to live the life they choose. Its approach is built on relationships, not just service delivery, with a strong focus on culturally matched support, person-centred care and participant-caregiver relationships shaped by culture, age, interests and personality.

With values of compassion, integrity, collaboration, excellence and empowerment, Upwards Living is committed to lifting industry standards while supporting participants and staff to achieve positive outcomes.

The Opportunity
Upwards Living is seeking a Senior Service Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality Supported Independent Living services.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, this role acts as a key operational link between frontline teams and senior leadership. You will support Service Coordinators, Senior Support Workers and Support Workers to deliver safe, consistent and person-centred services aligned to participant goals, NDIS requirements and organisational standards.

This is a practical, service-facing leadership role with responsibility across service delivery, participant and family engagement, workforce performance, compliance, risk, incident management, documentation and budget oversight.

You will play a key role in ensuring services are well coordinated, staff are supported, participant needs are met, and quality and compliance expectations are maintained across a dynamic SIL environment.

You will:

  • Lead and support Service Coordinators and frontline teams
  • Oversee SIL supports in line with participant goals and care plans
  • Build trusted relationships with participants, families and stakeholders
  • Strengthen service quality, documentation, incidents and complaints
  • Support staff supervision, performance, training and development
  • Manage services within funding, budget and quality expectations

About You

You are an experienced disability services leader with direct experience in Supported Independent Living, disability accommodation or comparable residential disability services.

This is not a generalist disability leadership role. Upwards Living is seeking someone who understands the practical realities of SIL service delivery, including participant support planning, workforce coordination, family communication, incident management, documentation, safeguarding, funding parameters and NDIS compliance.

You bring:

  • Direct experience in SIL, supported accommodation or residential disability services
  • Previous leadership experience as a Service Manager or similar
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS framework and Practice Standards
  • Confidence leading frontline teams in a dynamic service environment
  • Experience managing incidents, documentation, risk and compliance
  • Strong relationship skills with participants, families, staff and stakeholders

This role will suit someone who is organised, calm under pressure and comfortable working close to service delivery. You will be able to balance participant outcomes, staff support, compliance requirements and operational performance while keeping quality of care at the centre.

What’s on Offer

  • A hands-on leadership role across SIL services
  • The opportunity to support quality, growth and service improvement
  • A values-led organisation focused on participant and staff outcomes
  • Direct impact across frontline teams and service delivery
  • The opportunity to strengthen team capability and service consistency
  • Remuneration aligned to the scope of the role
